Sleeping, vampires and christmas soda.

Not feeling okay today at all. Haven’t slept in three days (Have rested a lot though so it’s okay)
So it’s a “stay in bed” kind of day, at least the start of it. I usually feel better in the evenings

Lying in bed listening to the rain outside is pretty okay really. It’s relaxing. It’s strange because I am really sensitive when it comes to noise when I’m trying to sleep. I can’t have -any- noises or I will not fall asleep.. Except rain, for some reason. It can rain all it wants and I will fall asleep just as easy. But when there are other noises, even real quiet stuff like the breathing of others, I can’t sleep. I have to use earplugs.

I’m weird like that – i also need it to be cold (not more than 60 F / 16 C preferably) and dark (a small light from a tv will annoy me.. See, I’m mental!) and I have to lie on my right side, with some of my duvet behind my neck so that there is no cold air there. Even so there are many nights I can’t sleep but it really helps with audiobooks! If I don’t fall asleep at least I’m not just lying there frustrated over not sleeping or bored out of my mind. So happy I discovered audiobooks five years ago

I tried listening to the Sookie Stackhouse books recently but I couldn’t stand them. I didn’t like True Blood very much either but I thought the books were supposed to be better. They weren’t. I found Sookie to be SO annoying, childish, stubborn, whiny, emo and well, just plain dumb. I rooted for everyone to kill her all the time. I was able to finish the first two books but during the third I gave up.

Same with Twilight. I’m sorry but that’s just horrible writing. I mean wtf? I could write better than that, seriously. Some day I might do it too. Also what is up with those  “vampires” in Twilight? Meh. Give me something by Anne Rice any day!

Anyway I am drinking a “christmas soda” (julebrus) here. Yeah they have special sodas they sell only at christmas time. They can taste everything from raspberries, vanilla/cotton candy to more fruity. I like the raspberry and vanilla ones best.
